one for prom and one for the military ball:)
(neither are dresses we had found online in this post)
drum roll, please....
her dress looks white in this photo;
but it is actually a really pale pink.
this is a back view of her dress (in lavender).
another drum roll, please...
i could not find a photo of her military ball dress;
however, the fuchsia dress in this photo is very similar.
the only real difference is the way it is beaded.
her dress' beading starts at the halter and flows toward
her left hip.
would you believe out of the 8-10 dresses we had waiting for us in the fitting room that these were the 2nd and 3rd dresses she donned??? we were in and out of the dress shop in less than 45 minutes...
NOW, THAT'S MY KIND OF SHOPPING:D
do you like our choices???
which is your favorite???
i hope you've had a lovely valentine's day!!!
love and God's blessings,
dani xx

I love them both so very much. She really is a princess Dani. This proves it :) Glad the transaction went smoothly.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I love, love, LOVE the prom dress *she* picked out :P
Dani, you and Katherine have impeccable taste. They are both just beautiful. I adore the prom dress. She is going to look so stunning and is she wearing the tiara to finish off the princess look?
Can't wait to see pictures.
They are both beautiful Dani and Katherine will look like a princess in both of them.
That's my kind of shopping too ~ very impressive!
I'm loving your new look ~ i had a t-shirt that said "get lucky in kentucky" on it!
Hope you are having a good weekend.
Love,
Amanda x
Hi there Dani ~ I love love love the dresses ~ that prom dress is so gorgeous and just what I would want my little Lauren to choose when she is older ~ I cannot wait to see Kat in it ~ she will definitly be the belle of the ball.
The military ball dress is also just perfect ~ Kat has great taste!
I love the new blog look too!
I have a four leaf clover card that I keep in my purse ~ that has seen me through exams, getting in the police and many other occasions when luck has been required!!
Unfortunately it obviously doesn't make me lucky in my choice of men bahahahaha!!! Never mind 2 out of 3 aint bad!!!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend ~ take care ~ love and hugs to you all XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Love them both!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Your daughter's super hero name would be SUPERSHOPPER/DECIDER!
I love the 1st one best. It's so princessy, but the fushia is stunning too!
Dani, both dresses are stunning, just g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! Kat is going to look like the princess that she is!
Why will she be going to a "military ball?"
All of this prom shopping sure brings back memories. My son went to his share of formal dances but we bought a total of 9 formal dresses for Courtney. The hair appts, manicure/pedicure appts, finding the right shoes/purse, getting make-up done, ordering flowers, dinner arrangements, and sometimes even limo rides...what fun memories. My two had a great time in high school with these functions and hubby and I had fun right along with them! Usually all of the kids and their parents/siblings/grandparents, etc. met at our house for pictures first. A friend once commented that I have the most photographed fireplace in town!
Hi Dani,
I'm (slowly) starting to check up on my bloggy friends and just wanted to say that I love the dresses Kat picked out! She's going to look stunning!
Love,
Tania
I have tagged you!!
They are both beautiful, and I can't wait to see pictures of Katherine wearing them both.
Here's something kind of funny that I noticed. The very first picture, the prom dress one, The way the model is holding her arms, she looks just like a Barbi Doll. In fact if you go down and scroll up you really think it's a picture of a Barbi until you get to her head. And even that looks a little bit Barbi Dollish.
LOVE them! I adore princess dresses. I really do. I am glad they are getting a resurgence.
She gonna look gougess!
Love the first one! It actually reminds me a little bit of my wedding dress becasue it has 9 layers of tulle. :)
miss lucy, i think she is probably going to get some kind of sparkly headband (i'm not sure about the tiara???). i think it would look adorable, though:) we shall see!
~~~~~~~~
amanda, i cannot believe that you have a lucky in kentucky tee!!! did you order it from abercrombie and fitch??? lol, they got in a tremendous amount of trouble for putting out one that said "it's all relative in west virginia" (insinuating incest)!!!
~~~~~~~~
linda, chico will be going to vanderbilt this fall. he received a full naval scholarship. he is having a spring rotc ball.
~~~~~~~~~
to all of you, thank you!!! i love the very young, sweet, "princess'y" look also. when she put the gown on, i knew there would be no comparing any other... she just glowed and loved it!!!
l,
Oh d. these dresses are truly gorgeous!!! I absolutely LOVE them both!! Katherine will definitely be the belle of the ball... BOTH of them!!!
love,
t. xxxx
I hate to say it, but Redbanks is a piece of work, huh? My great grandmother was there when I was younger, and after my grandmother had a nasty fall, she was there for a little while until Dad and my cousin Clay could figure out where she should be. She's at a MUCH better place right now, but Clay and I were in Kentucky at the same time, and we went to see her. We left there crying because it was so sad and she just wan't herself. She's doing MUCH better in her new digs. Have you seen "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" yet? It's amazing, but I honestly thought I was going to have to get up and walk out at one point.
Love,
C
Love those dresses - especially the first one - just gorgeous!
That first dress is one of the most gorgeous dresses I have EVER seen!
