odds and ends...

katherine and chico had a great time at the ball and are really looking forward to chico's senior prom this coming saturday...
this is the biggie:)

~@~@~@~@~@~

it felt like old times around here this weekend:) katherine, hannah, and their peasants (jacob and barret) went out on friday for dinner. then, afterwards, ALL ended up back here on the lane.
i loved it!!!

it made my heart smile that they still wanted to hang out here when they had their new-found-freedom (jacob got his driver's license last week) not to have to do so:)

further, hannah came back over to spend a second night after katherine returned from the ball:D

~@~@~@~@~@~

my little maggiepie is doing very well post-op, YAY!!! we are supposed to go tomorrow so that she can get the staples removed from her incision.

~@~@~@~@~@~

i have three THREE appliances on the blink... according to john my (relatively new) dryer sounds like it needs a bearing, the washer doesn't seem to be spinning everything as dry as it should be (that could be why the dryer is needing a new bearing, huh???), and the ice maker is not working in our very new refrigerator:/

so, after this post, i am off to call a repairman.

~@~@~@~@~@~

lastly, but most importantly... thank you ALL for your sweet comments regarding katherine's and chico's ball photos!!!
in my opinion, they are precious (inside-out)!!!
we feel very blessed:)

love and God's blessings,
dani xx

That picture is awesome Dani. Sounds like such a fun time for everyone. Love that you had some time with them.

I know about the appliance thing. Our ice maker is out too. And it's fairly young as well. And my dishwasher and I am waiting for the 3rd thing. It comes in 3's you know. Fun huh.

Those corsages are beautiful! So glad they stuck around.

Good luck with those appliances! Maybe the Maytag guy will come. His commercials say he isn't very busy... lol.

I am amazed by the colors that are in those corsages! They are so POP! Very different from what I had. I like them.

I hope you get to the bottom of your malfunctioning appliances. So annoying. :/

Glad to here Miss Doggiepie is doing well.

I hope we get a Moss's Tuesday. :)

Wow Dani. It sounds like you are THE Koolaid Mom. It must be a comfort to have Katherine and her friends there.
The corsages were beautiful. I somehow skipped your post on the Ball, so if you will excuse me I will back up and read it now. Bye bye.

I REALLY hope that my girls want to hang out at our house with their friends when they are teenagers. Donald and I will try to make our home as 'cool' as possible....lol

Katherine seems like such a wonderful daughter :)

Dani, That is such a great shot of those beautiful corsages. I am so glad that Katherine and Chico had such a great time. Now I can wait to see the drop dead gorgeous dress for the next outing. Hope little Maggie is making a good recovery. Appliances on the blink is no fun and trying to get some one in to repair them is even worse.
It really is such an honour when the young ones want to hang around home and you get to enjoy their company as well.
Love and hugs XXXXOOOO

Hi Dani

Oh how I have missed popping in on you and our other blogging friends.

Katherine looks stunning - so elegant and sophisticated. Your mother daughter relationship is beauty full. Chico scrubs up well too!

I love the fact that Katherine and her friends / peasants want to spend time on the lane. I always imagine your home to be one filled with laughter and where people are made to feel welcome. I think people would leave your home always feeling happier than when they arrived, so I can see why Katherine and her dear friends would love to spend time at your home.

What a relief to hear that Maggie is now doing well. I bet you are spoiling her rotten and why not, she sure does deserve it.

Dani, I couldn't turn my sound on fast enough when I spotted that video you uploaded to your blog. It was a JOY to hear you. Your voice is so soothing. I hear such serenity in your beautiful voice.

Lots of love and big hugs
Elise.

Oh, I just remebered that I wanted to tell you that I think the photos with the corsages is such a special and delightful picture.

Bummer about those appliances! Glad Maggie's doing fine. And I love that flower photo. Plus all the other ball photos that popped up after I left the last comment - Katherine and Chico look wonderful.

Do you have this in pink? said...

Oh corsages.....I love them. Nobody does them down here and I've asked my sister if we could wear them as bridesmaids for her wedding. There's something so girly and romantic in them.

I really hope when my babies are older and are able to choose where they spent their time they still want to spend it at home with us, you are truley lucky to have such a wonderful girl Dani.

So much love,

Em
