(dani, jeanne, and ginny)i found this photo a few days ago, and it made me smile:) it was taken nearly 18 years ago here on the lane during an engagement, Christmas wassail ginny and i were hosting for jeanne.
i love gin and jean, and they love me.
when i found it and showed it to katherine, she laughed and asked what i was wearing... before telling her it was a lanz dress, which was very in style at the time, she responded i looked like a pilgrim:/ oh well... she really would have thought i looked like a pilgrim if she'd seen my shoes; they were black patent leather capezios with a flat bow on the toe, ha!

Actually, I did think you looked like a pioneer woman. OF course due to the lack of dust and grime, a pioneer woman who had already arrived!

We shall call this style 'Pioneer Chic'....and you pull it off well!
You know my mom still sends me Lanz dresses and nightgown with rounded collars that were my older sisters. She can't bare to give them to the thrift store. If you ever want to borrow one, please let me know. Do you remember wearing the little bowties on a white collared shirt with a blazer? i have a few of those too!
I love this picture, how lucky you are to still have your wonderful friends. Sometimes after marriage and babies friends can drift away so to still have them makes you blessed Dani.
No Dani, you don't look like a pilgrim. You look like a sweet young girl with your nice friends. I love old pictures. It is fun to remember back. Yes we will look funny in pictures in 18 more years.

Yes, I do love you! You didn't look like a pilgrim! I know I said this on facebook, but I can remember the grocery trip the night before the wassail. I thought you were so smart and wifely!! I didn't have a clue how to make any of that food!! Man, I loved that sweater I'm wearing.
P.S. This picture is also a helpful reminder to me to either never cut my hair that short again, never to use hot rollers again, or never to be without my flat iron. (or quite possibly all 3)
