FINALLY, a 'SUN'day stroll...

we have had two days of sun and highs around 60°f (16°c)
on the lane...
very nice, huh:)
so, maggie and i went for a long walk...

the only downsides of the walk were that we had to watch out for limbs and BIG BRANCHES which were broken and hanging...
seemingly just waiting to give way to gravity
(we were careful though!!!)...

and the muddy, nasty terrain.

when i watched this little snippet upon returning home, i laughed to myself remembering one of john's favorite sayings...

"if you are NOT the first dog, the view is always the same!!!"

:/

meester john is a funny one; he is:b

upon returning home, maggie and i both had to have showers.
then, when the magster was finally all dry, i allowed her to crawl up into my bed.
she buried herself under the covers and attempted to take a nap.
then, much to her dismay...
i came bearing my camera, ha!!!

i hope your weekend has been a SUNNY one:D

love and God's blessings,
dani xx

Isn't it funny how the weather can change so rapidly from day to day. I wonder why someone hasn't come up with little Doggy Boots. Hmmm, maybe I'll have to make some up and see if they will sell on ETSY. If I do, I'll send you a pair and you and Maggie can be my focus group. tee hee

She's so cute! Can't believe you give her a bath after a walk... I'm trying to remember the last time I gave my dog a bath. But she's an outdoor dog. Except when I sneak her in when Troy's not home... But I have to keep her right by me so she doesn't go off & pee on something...

What a cute pup!

And sunshine...we had it for a bit on Saturday and I loved it! It left me longing for spring :)

Now that sounds like a great day! On Saturday it was beautiful. It was clear skies and sunshine. Of course it was only 40 degrees, but I was still about to get outside and do some work around the house. UH...OK, all I did was mess around with my car, but hey, at least I was outside!

Maggie is just adorable!! Love her sweet little face.. glad you got to go for a nice long walk! Well here we have flooding to the North & devastating bush fires to the South.. my country is in a whole world of hurt right now!!! Please keep the people of Victoria in your prayers!

Love,

Hi Dani

I can always count on your blog to bring a smile to my face. Maggie is adorable, she is a perfect companion and sweet to boot.

I am haapy that you got to enjoy the sun and the temperature is comfortable for you.

The weather here in Australia is causing apocalyptic scenes. The fires down South are devasting towns and it has just been reported that 177 people have lost their lives in these horrific fires. The pictures that are on our TV screens and in our papers are so horribly tragic. I can't stop thinking about all of the families affected. Up north we also have floods causing so much destruction.
It is so horrible to see fellow Aussies going through such devastation, heartache and tragedy. The hospitals down South are also busy dealing with people who have horrific burns and after following Nie Nie's blog I can only imagine what they are going to face over the coming months.

Dani, I loved reading your interview. Your idea of a perfect weekend sounds very much like what I would also call a prefect weekend - long, pampering and indulgent. Your favourite childhood memory is so beauty full.

I would love to be interviewd by you.

Lots of love and hugs
Elise

She is the cutest dog EVER! She makes me want to have a dog...and that's saying something. :) Is she a cocker spaniel? I love her coloring too.

Maggie is just beautiful Dani. I just adore that Cavalier 'look' they give when hiding under a duvet or cover. It's almost as if to say "Well, where do you expect me to sleep?!"
It made me smile to see Maggie sniffing along as she walks - don't their noses just work overtime?! - Just a shame they couldn't be trained for something useful other than sniffing out food or duvets really! (I'm open to correction, but I don't think Cavs are ever used for anything major like drug sniffing or anything are they?? I know Springers are though, but then maybe they have more brain power....)
Oooh! give her lots of cuddles from Hollie and me
