and i like it...

i'm in a rut; and i like it!!!

doesn't that sound crazy???

i almost hate to say it;
but i love, love, love my life:D
i do...

don't get me wrong...
my life is not perfect.

there are times that john drives me crazy
(about once a year;)

there are times that katherine gets a little sassy
(but not very often;)

there are times that i want to give my cats
to anyone who would want them...
(those times are happening more often;)
would you like two black cats???
they are not bad luck!!!
but they are a package deal,
disclaimer: one has hairball issues...
mia grooms herself as well as maisey:S

my puppy dogger...
is perfect:D
you cannot have her.

anyway about the rut that i like...
i know i should desire to do great things
to make a difference in this awesome world
in which we live.

i've been there before;
and i've made little differences.
i liked that, too.
i guess i just like whatever whenever

To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven...

when i was right in the middle
of making one of those aforementioned
"differences",

God told me:

"DON'T JUST DO SOMETHING;
SIT THERE!!!"

i listened and did what HE told me to do.
i guess i'm just waiting for my next order...

have you ever been in a rut and liked it???

love and God's blessings,
dani xx

Yes - I have been in a rut & just sat back & enjoyed the ride...
We already have a black & white cat. Don't think my dog & cat would be to happy for 2 more friends...
Do you have black hair everywhere? Our cat used to be in doors until we moved to this house 5 yrs ago & now she is strictly outdoors. And gets freaked out when my girls drag her inside & then shut the door so she can't get out.
Yes- it is funny how Allie loves bugs until she thinks their sharing her bed with her...

"Ruts are the downside of reaching a goal. Just enjoy the ride until you're ready to climb the other side." I was trying to go all "Flavia" on ya!! Ruts are awesome (most of the time).

gin
p.s. You know that I'm soooooo NOT a cat person. Good luck with that. Want a chocolate lab???

I'm so happy that you are happy! You deserve happiness and contentment in your life.
I would love the cats, but i don't think that they would be too happy with 6 months in quarantine!!
Or with 4 little terrors chasing them about!!

To some it might appear that I am the queen of Rutsville, but here is how I see it; I am 51. I have had a pretty good life so far with plenty of ups and downs. I am at that point in my life where everything seems to be running quite smoothly. I am nice and comfortable and I guess maybe a little set in my ways. So it may be a rut that I'm in, but it feels pretty good to me.

Like you say, it is seasonal. I think that we all get there. I had to go to rutsville before because I was wore out. It is a time to recharge and get on to the next time. It's okay to enjoy the now and be happy. I am so glad for you and your out look on life. It is contagious. Thanks Dani.

I love that you love your life. That's so positive.

I'm in a rut that I love as well. Being a stay at home mom and wife. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me..

Great post girlie!

I had to look up what "being in a rut" meant: "stuck in a boring routine" was the answer.

I would say that I'm very happy with my life too. Of course there are things I would like or want, but if those things never happen, it won't make me miserable. After all, I have the 3 L's: "Life, Laughs & most importantly Love".

Love,
Tania

Dani,
Yes, to every thing there is a season. I love that! :) I love that some times we relax and prepare, sometimes we do battle, sometimes we have callings that surprise us. Contentment is such a key and I see you have learned to use that key to unlock joy in your life. Way to go!! :)
