The more people I meet around the country the more real these hurricanes and other weather disasters become to me. I truly believe that hurricane Gustav decreased in power because of all the prayers offered. Such a powerful blessing we have in prayer.
Love ya!

Hi Dani ~ there has been quite a bit of coverage on the news about sarah Palin here in the UK ~ and there was a write up on her in the newspaper ~ I don't know much about American politics ~ but she makes our politicians look like grey old men ha ha !!!

I love that award it is sooo cute ~ I love Esmes blog it is so lovely!!

That party sure sounds interesting, I would love to be there ~ although I think that it would well and truly spoil this damn diet and I would probably get very drunk and fall over ha ha !!! Send a big happy birthday to your brother for the 25th.

Oh goodness, more bad weather over there with you ~ I hope that everyone will be safe and I will be thinking of you all. Our weather is totally awful here ~ the rain and wind have been going almost all day ~ it is only 5.17 pm here and it is almost dark already ~ a huge storm is brewing ~ but nothing compared to what you have over there !
Stay safe my dear friend,
love and big hugs Tab XXXXX

I know what you mean about the convention...I was glued to the TV all day yesterday. I listed to a speech by Cindy McCain that was especially good.

A birthday's coming up...and the party's at a winery...how fun!

With all of this hurricane business, I'm busy praying daily! I couldn't take all of these hurricane scares...I'll stick with a possible earthquake every few years...and no evacuations!

I've never been so interested in politics in my life. I'm ususally so disgusted by it. I'm loving it too!

I know, these hurricanes are brutal this year!

I love Esme's blog, so cute to do it in the 1yr olds point of view!

Have a great weekend sweetie

I am so grateful we dont have to worry about wild weather like that-i feel for all those poor people not knowing what to expect.

It is so funny how your political system works over there-sooo different to ours and i must say a hell of a lot more intriguing! Very interested to see what how it pans out-you would be surprised how much coverage we get all the way down here!

Gotta love a birthday party at a winery-great idea! Happy birthday little bro!!

Take care

Well, it's raining here...a little worried about Hurricane Ike...but NASA has rolled out the Shuttle for launch so they must be pretty sure all will go well!!! YIKES! Really don't want to have to evacuate this year!

hi, tabitha:)
governor palin is definitely shaking things up here on the political front. WOW, she may spell victory for the republican party. she is rock star status right now!!!
i would love for you to come to the winery with us... if you were to fall, i'd catch you (lol, then we'd probably both fall!!!).
the second storm seems to be headed toward the southern tip of florida; hopefully it will lose strength:S

dani

hey, linda:) cindy did do a really good job... especially not to have ever spoken for any real length of time!!!
the winery with my brother should prove to be interesting, ha!!!
we have the occasional tornado here and straight line winds; all is well so long as we don't get blown away, but we don't evacuate either (unless we get blown away that is:S)

dani

hi, jenn:) i'm always interested (sometimes disgusted) in politics. however, palin's nomination/acceptance of the vp ticket has definitely put the "wow" factor into this year's election!!!
i'm so relieved that you haven't had to deal with any of the hurricanes thus far and hope you won't in the future:)
have a great "break"!!!
love,
dani

i'm grateful, too, that you don't have our crazy weather, megan:) last weekend was crazy for the residents of the gulf of mexico!!!
the winery should be fun... as my brother is a nut (when he's sober, HA!!!).
how about this campaign we've got here in the states??? it's almost as crazy as the weather!!!
have a great weekend:D
love,
dani

hey, d:)
it's been raining here a bit (the remnants of gustav) the past couple of days.
the way it looks ike is going to either hit the souther tip and the keys, or it's heading into the gulf. regardless, he looks like a monster storm:o i hope you don't have to mess with any of the three... i hope no one does:)

Dani! Your brother and I are 6 days apart! He hits the big 3-0 on the 25th, and I'm on October 1st! I'm both excited and nervous. I must say that thinking of myself as 30 years old makes me crack up, as I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO not mature enough to be 30! I got carded for buying a bottle of wine tonight too, so that was awesome! Much love to ya!

I forgot to weigh in on my thoughts on Sara Palin. I think she is incredible. I believe it's quite likely that McCain just secured for himself the White House. She is so real. I don't have any problem with her pregnant 17 year old,I think their family has got a really good handle on the whole thing, and, I love that her sweet baby boy is down syndrome. She faces issues that parents and families all across the country face on a daily basis, and she seems to do it with such courage and grace. I hardly ever care that much about the presidential race but because of her I am suddenly very interested.

c, i'm 39 and not sure what that means either, HA!!! it doesn't help that people have always treated me like a little girl (and i've let them;):b
