a thread in time thursday...

you may recall that in last thursday's thread in time i referred to the first house i lived in post dormitory while i was in college. i told you that 6 of us girls lived in a two bedroom house with one bathroom, that the house had a piano on the front porch, and that it was situated next-door to a boot store with a huge horse on its awning...

well, i couldn't find any pictures of our house.

BUT, here is a picture of the awning of the boot store!!!

(the face has been hidden to protect the identity of the not-so-innocent;)

love and blessings,
dani xx

ps thank you for all your thoughts and prayers...

all the "faceless one" is missing is the cone!!! i'd be willing to bet, however, that if there'd been one lying around, he'd have worn it:D
those WERE the days!!!

OMGsh, that almost looks dangerous. Was it?

dani said...

shannon,
it was very dangerous, yes!!! i don't think "the faceless one" would have felt the pain had he fallen, though...

Hi Dani

If that horse could talk he would have some stories to share. Were you ever tempted to go for a ride yourself?

Lots of love and hugs

elise, every time my friend ginny and i would pass that boot store, we would say (in unison), "one of these days we are going to ride that horse!!!" then we would just laugh and laugh:)
the truth is i am terribly afraid of heights and of getting into trouble of any kind. so, i'm pretty sure i didn't mean it. further, if i'd have ever gotten myself up on the awning, i don't think i would have been able to get on the horse's back regardless, HA!!!
