Let us know. This is very exciting news. I hope she can help pull us through.
I am personally thrilled about this choice. He made a great decision when he chose her. I just put a post up with their photo. I didn’t write much b/c I had zero time but I could go one and one about her and why she is prefect for the position. Can’t wait for November now!!!!! :)
Was already voting for him anyway. This just seals the deal! What a brilliant move! l, gin
I have no idea who she is (ha ha !!), will google her and see what it says!!
I do agree however that she needs a pat on the back for achieving what she has and with 5 kids too!!
love and hugs to you Dani XXXX
hi, kendra:) i have been watching cnn all day (ima news junkie). i cannot figure out why her??? i hope to be pleasantly enlightened... as i am a republican supporter!!! i'm a little worried, though. yikes, whata gamble:o

dano

I have been listening to talk radio all day on this. She looks Great, She sounds Great. But I have to say & I know a lot of women out there will totally disagree. She's only 44 - she has 5kids which one of them is a baby with Downs. How can you be a Good mom & be Vice President of the United States? Can you honestly say one or the other isn't going to suffer?
I'm so torn over this. I want to say Yeah Go for it Girlfriend. But then I feel that it is also saying put your family last because now as V.P. there are going to be a billion things ahead of them that need attention...
If her kids were older & out of the house, it'd be a different story. But an infant & teenagers.
Just my feelings right now.
And the more I learn about her & her situation could totally change how I feel. I just know that for MYSELF as a mother of 4. I couldn't do both and be good at it.. I can barely handle being a mom of 4 sometimes!
:)
:)
bren, i am not as worried about her juggling her family so much as i am worried that mccain didn't go with someone "safe".
her husband is a stay-at-home dad. i'd be very willing to bet that their lives wouldn't change much as it sounds like she's presently a VERY busy woman...
i think from what i've read and heard so far that she is capable of doing the job. she's just darn near unknown:S
love,
dani
I didn't realize he was a stay at home dad. Like you said she is so unknown.. So I don't know to much at all about her... Guess I should research her more.
But I have to say I am SO GLAD it's not Hillary!!!
i'm glad it's not as well, bren:)

bren, i typed that because john told me he was... but, her husband evidently works for an energy company???
maybe john heard that he would be mr. mom if she is elected???
i'm not sure:?

She moose hunts too!
I googled her. So far, I like what she's said. She's kinda the opposite of a politician to me.
She fired a whole board when they weren't making the right decisions. I don't know really what it's all about, but I like a woman with some guts!
I think she is a complete breath of fresh air. It has always bothered me the thought that only the Democrats could offer up a woman as a viable candidate for such high office. Everyone keeps talking about her lack of experience, but doesn't Obama have just as little as she does? And he wants to be President, not just sitting in the number 2 position. I think McCain made a really ballsey decision, it could go south for him but I think it will revitalize his whole campaign. Plus, our woman candidate is prettier than theirs by a mile! LOL!
i like her, too, jenn... the media is ripping her to shreds, though. i'm concerned to say the least:?

dani
HA!!! suz, a mile and some:b i'm anxious to see how this is going to play out from here...

dani
I am excited about it - and think it is a smart move!
BTW...I love all your comments on my little ol blog! You make me feel so loved!!
Yes, I'm excited for her and what she has achieved. Not only is she smart and accomplished, she looks beautiful too.
Yes I too had never heard of her till I turned on the news tonight.
I wouldn't have a clue who she is, but good on her for achieving what she has & with five kids, go Sarah! I'm so not up to date on any country's politics!
Have a great Saturday :)
love,
t. xxxx
I figured I needed to stop by. I always see you at Amanda's and then today kendra's and the new Alaska blog I checked out.
I am very excited--5 kids, running the largest state in the union and cleaning it up. Very cool!
you are so welcome, ashley:)
you are loved!!!
dani
she's got the whole package, and that's for sure, linda. i just hate the ridicule that's going on for mccain having chosen her "blindly". i think she's better than she's being given credit...
love,
dani
kristen and tanya, i had no idea who she was either. when i heard her name yesterday morning, i was like, "huh??? who???"... i've taken palin 101 now and know a lot more about her:)
love,
dani
i'm so glad you stopped by, lisa:) i'm excited, too (i think)!!! you are more than welcome to come back any time!!!
love,
dani
Republican? NOOOOOOO! From what I hear, she is very conservative. Not my cup of tea.
P.S. I am the most liberal person you will ever meet.
that's fine, christy!!! (not that i have to tell you that;)... i appreciate all opinions and people.
i am a registered democrat myself (otherwise i cannot vote in the primaries).
i vote best person and person who line up with who i am... thus, no particular party:)
love,
dani
Hey Dani...Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Oaky..where to begin on Sarah....SHE ROCKS! I was already a McCain supporter but many am I ever thrilled. On a political level Sarah has it going on. It is amazing the progress she has made in our state. She has her 'haters' but what politician doesn't. She is a fiscal conservative & gets the job done. As McCain stated she is a maverick & won't try to play both sides of the field just to save face. And to all of those who say she is 'inexperienced', she has more executive experience than anyone else on either ballot. There is a HUGE difference between serving in the House or Senate compared to an executive position. And while she doesn't have a lot of foreign policy experience on a national level, here in Alaska she has had immense amounts of foreign relations than the average state.
To comment on some other things, her husband Todd is a SAHD. He is technically employed by BP as an oil field operator but since she has been governor he has taken a leave of absence to take care of the family as well as to avoid a conflict of interest.
On a personal level, the Palins are great people. The are genuinely nice & down to earth. And their kids are really great kids too! When the media says she is your aerage middle class mom they are telling the truth. We live in the same community & have for many years. I have met them on numerous occassions & while I am not "close friends" with them I used to work out with a group of moms (that included Sarah) at the gym & have attend many social functions that they also have attended. We just happen to have many mutal friends. The MatSu Valley (where we live & Wasilla is located) is a tight knit community & everyone knows each other. In fact I just spoke to Sarah last week when I ran into her at the fair.
I think she is an excellent choice & honestly I don't think McCain will have to sell her. I think come next weeks convention she will sell herself!
oh, awesome, stacy!!! thank you for telling me more. i have been worried (should have been watching fox yesterday rather than cnn;)!!!
she sounds wonderful, and i hope we get to know her as our next vp!!!
love from kentucky,
dani
I believe she is a great choice. Smart, determined, and focused on results. The liberal media here in the U.S. is trying to dig up whatever dirt it can because the prospect of a conservative woman scares the dickens out of the democrats!
donna, thanks for stopping: i was certainly impressed with her last night... WOW!!!
hugs,
dani
