I'm very impressed with the stripped wall...but man that looks like it was alot of work! I've wanted to attempt strips but haven't yet. You may just be my inspiration!
That's a great room! All the hard work has been worth it. I just love the light behind Kats bed! And the bedroom wouldn't be complete without Mia in it :D haha! L, Amanda xx
Oh Dani, i love Kat's room!!! you did an amazing job, you should be very proud of yourself & of course it wouldn't be complete without Mia in there!! the colourful wall is awesome!!
When you said you were painting...you weren't kidding! I know that took a long time and was a bit tedious. It looks like a perfectly perfect pink katkave.
Hey Dani, How is it going? Love the room. That must have really been time consuming. It turned out perfect though. I have to say that I am madly in love with the doors. Oh my gosh they are awesome. Great job and keep on keeping on. :) See you around the neighborhood of blog.
hi, j:) when victoria's sectret came out with its "pink" line, i fell in love with the bright island colors as did katherine. so, it was fun coordinating:D thank you!!! love, dani
hey, amanda:) we got most all of the accessories for katherine's room from dry ice, a "groovy" store on the mall that's where the round-about-chair and headboard lights came from as well... thanks:D love, dani
shannon, the wall was originally yellow (i don't know if you remember it or not???). i just used the (blue painter's) scotch tape, a level, and colored acrylics. it's really not that hard so long as your tape is well adhered to the wall:) love, dani
jenn, actually kat's room was a 'touch-up' job, and she got a new ceiling. i am still working on her den and bathroom. (one thing has led to another). the paint was very intricate and detailed... especially the chair-rail. the notorious d always laughs that i use a 1/2" brush to do a whole room... HA!!! thank you:D love, dani
hey, suz:) thank you:D ok,the door that you are referring to goes into our formal living room. the one right next to it (which is level with kat's room) is the closet, and the door that is between the roll-top desk and the computer table goes into katherine's bath room. love, dani
hi, jan:) thank you!!! it was time consuming, but i love doing it:D i will have to share some of the nurseries if have done as well as sam's and will's rooms:D hope you are having a good blogger respite!!! love, dani
I love it Dani!!! Hmm so does Miss Lily looking over my shoulder, help! Love your work guys and keep up the good work keeping it clean Kat (or should is say dani??) Take care Meganxx
hi, robin:) the stripes i did with painters' tape and acrylics (as with the chair rail border). it's really not that difficult so long as you have a level!!! that little desk we got for katherine at an estate sale a looooooooog time ago. the woman that it had belonged to (when she was a child) would be 60 years old this year had she not died. i don't know if it was new for her or an antique??? have a great day:D love, dani

That is really a nice room. I like all the color and details. One question, the door with steps in front, is that the closet or the door?
